@Foundation Capital
Joanne's passion for technology began early, inspired by her mathematician father and computer scientist mother, leading her to start a web development business at just nine years old. She launched her career as an engineer at Cisco Systems, co-founded a mobile gaming company, and later worked on Wall Street, advising tech companies on IPOs and M&A at Jefferies & Company and venture fundraising at Probitas Partners. Now an investor at Foundation since 2014, Joanne serves on the boards of companies like Jasper.AI and SafelyYou, and has successfully guided firms like TubiTV through acquisitions. With a focus on AI-first B2B applications, she shares her expertise at major conferences and through her TED talk. Joanne holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Chicago, and she enjoys gaming, travel, and food in her free time.
